Sam leads a team responsible for developing and implementing international strategies to achieve EDF’s goal of significantly cutting global oil and gas methane emissions and advancing the global transition to a clean, low carbon energy future.
Background
Prior to joining EDF, Sam was Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, serving at U.S. Embassies and diplomatic missions in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, as well as at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in New York and the U.S. Mission to the International Civil Aviation Organization in Montreal.
Sam holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago and an M.A. from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).
