Indian countryside with mountains on a mostly sunny day
India

As the world’s second-largest emitter of methane and third-largest emitter of carbon dioxide, India’s role is crucial to the climate fight.

In addition to driving global warming, these largely unaddressed emissions also mean that India’s people — especially in low-wealth communities — breathe some of the most polluted air on the planet.

We’re working with key state governments to help their citizens breathe cleaner air this decade while empowering those states to advocate for countrywide action from India’s national government.
