Description
Lauren works with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to orchestrate and lead a complex, multi-pronged campaign to champion the capabilities of MethaneSAT – a high performance, purpose-built satellite to map and measure oil and gas methane emissions worldwide. She works to ensure the data MethaneSAT produces is widely used within government, industry, academia, the financial community and civil society to monitor, measure, and reduce oil and gas methane pollution to meet our 75% emissions reduction goal. Lauren also leads the EDF Rapid Response Room, a team of science, outreach and communications staff to review data and associated analysis as they are produced.
Background
Lauren has worked in several positions at Environmental Defense Fund. Prior to her role as Senior Director, MethaneSAT Advocacy, she worked on the Development team in Major Gifts fundraising, as operations director for the Energy Transition Department, and led strategic planning and implementation as a Senior Director on the Methane team.
