Sara Kroopf manages key relationships with food and agricultural company partners to increase incentives for environmentally sustainable practices that mitigate greenhouse gases and enhance water quality. Sara is responsible for advancing corporate programming and sustainable supply chain initiatives that reward farmers, ranchers and forestland owners for climate benefits generated under their management.

Background

At UC Davis, Sara worked with the Agricultural Sustainability Institute on its Sustainable Sourcing of Global Agricultural Raw Materials project that looked at environmental, social, and economic impacts of the agricultural supply chain. Before beginning her concurrent MBA and MS in Agricultural Economics degrees, Sara worked in international agricultural development and small-business consulting in Mali with the Peace Corps. The experience abroad inspired her to take on a global agricultural perspective that required interdisciplinary environmental action.
