In 2008, he went to work for The Nature Conservancy (TNC) as a regional government relations manager and spent time traveling up and down the Central Valley working on restoration, conservation, land use, and water issues. He was promoted to TNC’s lead state government relations representative in 2011, where he worked to advance their mission across multiple program areas.
