Sr. Specialist, Marketing and Communications, EDF+Business
Karley supports media relations and speaking opportunities for the EDF+Business team, where our partnerships with companies transform business as usual in their products, operations, supply chains and advocacy. Karley leads the communication strategy for the Supply Chain Solutions Center, an online hub designed to spread scalable environmental solutions by connecting business leaders with sustainability experts, thought leaders, influencers and potential partners.
She also guides the communication strategy for the EDF Climate Corps team, an innovative fellowship program placing top tier graduate students in leading companies, municipalities and universities to build the business case for sustainability and energy efficiency.
Prior to joining EDF, Karley was a Senior Account Manager at Spitfire Strategies, a communication and campaign planning firm that specializes in nonprofits and foundations. At Spitfire, Karley traveled across the U.S. training nonprofit executives how to create strong communication plans and served as the press contact for a coalition of advocacy groups and companies working to protect net neutrality, the principle that keeps our internet open to all. Karley loves helping people tell their stories in pursuit of a worthy cause and her proudest moments were helping a mayor write an op-ed about closing the digital divide in her city and a veteran explain why the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge needs protection. She also co-led the digital team.
On the weekends, you can find Karley hiking (in the fall), kayaking (in the summer) or skiing (in the winter) around the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
