Description

As the Senior Director for EU Energy Transition at Environmental Defense Fund Europe, Flavia (she/her) shapes Environmental Defense Fund Europe’s engagement to secure full energy transition and associated emission reductions both at EU and Member State level. In this context, she leads on the methane campaign and works on growing the Environmental Defense Fund Europe’s work on other energy transition opportunities, such as the EU hydrogen agenda. Flavia’s expertise spans across the European and international energy and climate agenda.

Background

Prior to joining Environmental Defense Fund Europe, Flavia  worked at Italy’s permanent representation to the EU, the Italian Environment Ministry and has served as Chief of Staff in the European Parliament. She has conducted negotiations at EU and UN levels and managed partnerships in China, and in countries across Africa and the Middle East to mitigate and adapt to challenges caused by climate change. Flavia speaks German, Italian, English, Spanish and French.
