Ronny Sandoval manages the grid modernization efforts within the 'Idea Bank', an internal think tank for analytics and strategic planning. Ronny works with the various teams within the EDF Clean Energy Program to ensure that EDF has the expertise to provide credible and constructive analysis of grid infrastructure investments in order to maximize opportunities for clean energy adoption.
Before joining EDF, Ronny was a Senior Specialist in Con Edison’s Energy Efficiency and Demand Management Department. In this capacity, he was responsible for forecasting the impacts of energy efficiency programs for system and capital planning purposes. Ronny also managed efforts to reduce peak electric use in capacity constrained areas of the system.
Prior to this role, Ronny performed engineering analyses and developed plans to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Transmission and Distribution systems at Con Edison. Ronny has also held management positions across Con Edison’s electric, gas, and steam organizations.
Ronny holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from New York University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. Ronny also obtained his Master of Business Administration from New York University and is a Certified Energy Manager.
