Based in Austin, Robert manages a team of experts focused on healthy fish stocks, maximum sustainable fishing opportunities and thriving coastal communities. In 2018 U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross appointed Robert to the Marine Fisheries Advisory Committee (MAFAC) to provide counsel to the Secretary and NOAA Fisheries on marine issues. Robert grew up on the coast near Corpus Christi, Texas and is an avid hunter, recreational angler and scuba diver.
