Belém, Brazil | Nov. 10-21, 2025
The annual United Nations climate conference is where the world comes together to address climate change by taking stock of global efforts and driving further progress.
This year’s conference — COP30 — is happening at a crucial moment, as extreme weather made worse by climate change upends people’s lives around the world.
But we can change course: We have solutions that work for people, economies and the environment — and now the challenge is to scale them up.
At COP30, Environmental Defense Fund will work with partners to promote proven solutions that address climate change and benefit communities. Our priorities include conserving forests, supporting farmers and fishers, and reducing emissions of methane, a potent greenhouse gas.
In recent years, countries have made commitments to tackle global warming. COP30 is the moment to translate those pledges into progress that people can see and feel.
