Description
Meredith provides strategic leadership to strengthen EDF’s engagement in international environmental policy processes, including UN frameworks and multilateral partnerships. She builds networks with UN agencies, global organizations, NGOs, and local communities to drive climate-resilient, low-carbon development. Her work also advances global action on climate adaptation and resilience, spanning risk management, nature-based solutions, and innovative finance strategies.
Background
Before joining EDF, Meredith spent 13 years at the U.S. State Department leading climate adaptation and loss and damage negotiations, serving on key UNFCCC committees, and directing environmental programs in Central America and the Caribbean. She has represented the U.S. in major climate funds, helped launch partnerships like the National Adaptation Plans Global Network, and previously worked on clean energy and climate programs at USAID’s Kenya Mission.
