But we have solutions that work for people, our economies and our planet — and now is the time to put them into action. Climate Week NYC is an opportunity for policymakers, companies and climate experts to explore and advance proven solutions. A global event, it builds momentum for meaningful progress at the United Nations climate conference, COP30, later in the year.
What we’re doing at Climate Week NYC: Environmental Defense Fund is hosting two days of events at 530 5th Ave. on Sept. 23 and 24, working with leaders from businesses, governments, civil society and more to drive action on climate change. Chain reaction: A retail Scope 3 hotspots workshop

This workshop brings retail sustainability leaders together to tackle Scope 3 emissions hotspots across supply chains. Hosted by EDF and partners, participants will share challenges and best practices, and collaborate on actionable solutions to drive progress and turn climate commitments into results.

Trust and resilience: Photo stories and forest benefit-sharing lessons
10-11 a.m. ET | Tuesday, Sept. 23
This event will include a photo journey into the bond between forests and their protectors, and a panel on Ecuador’s inclusive REDD+ benefit-sharing plan. Indigenous and Afro-descendant leaders from around the world will share lessons on equitable climate finance, highlighting the link between strong communities and healthy forests.
