Description

Kate leads EDF+Biz’s engagement with the insurance industry, helping insurers, reinsurers and brokers develop products and partnerships that advance shared climate goals.

Background

Before joining EDF, Kate worked in London at the insurance brokerage Willis (WTW) in carrier management and climate consulting roles, and co-founded the Climate-Resilient Insurance Strategy Project (CRISP). She previously worked in municipal sustainability and resilience for the City of Miami and the Town of Surfside, Florida. Kate began her career as a climate journalist, reporting on the human and economic impacts of a warming world.

Kate holds an MSc in Economy, Risk & Society from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BS in journalism from Northwestern University in Chicago.
