Leadership States' Impact on Emissions with Arizona
July 13, 2023We include projected emissions and gaps to the U.S. Climate Alliance targets for Arizona and Nevada — showing that Nevada stepping back from its climate commitments and Arizona committing to the NDC-aligned targets does not change our finding that leadership states can close nearly half of the gap to our national targets. In fact, Arizona’s new commitments mean that leadership states delivering on their targets could be even more consequential for closing the gap to our national 2030 goal. -
