Electrifying fleets to cut air and climate pollution
The problem: Every day, trucks and buses carry the goods, packages and people that keep our world running. Usually powered by diesel engines, these vehicles are among the dirtiest on the road. Air pollution from their exhaust pipes harms our climate and health, with an outsized impact on communities near highways, ports and other high-traffic areas.
What we’re doing about it: EDF is working with community leaders, fleet owners, manufacturers, utilities and policymakers to speed the adoption of clean trucks and buses. We’re helping to increase access to zero-emission vehicles, expand electric vehicle charging infrastructure and cut pollution in the communities most impacted by diesel emissions.
