Sam serves as the Manager, California Political Affairs where she leads the development and implementation of EDF’s California-based legislative and regulatory policy priorities. She designs advocacy campaigns, builds coalitions, and educates elected officials to advance climate and clean energy progress at scale.
Background
Prior to joining the California Political Affairs team, Sam led organizing, events, and partnerships across the Washington, DC area for Moms Clean Air Force where she mobilized caregivers to protect clean air and take climate action. Her previous experiences at the World Resources Institute and United Way spanned domestic and international climate research, policy, and communications.
