Description
Mike represents EDF in various proceedings, mainly before state public utility commissions, to advocate for policies and programs that expand charging access for medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles.
Background
Mike Zimmerman (he/him) grew up in Vermont and presently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining EDF, he worked as in-house regulatory counsel for Duquesne Light Company from 2017 to 2023, where he supported, among other things, the development and deployment of several vehicle electrification programs. He previously served as a utility consumer advocate with New York State’s Utility Intervention Unit. Outside of work, Mike serves on the board of a local urban forestry nonprofit, plays drums in a cover band and attempts to grow vegetables in his tiny yard.
