John plays a critical role in developing and executing EDF’s methane regulatory campaigns. He is responsible for achieving policy goals by helping create and manage strategic coalitions and relationships with industry, regulators, policy makers, opinion leaders, community groups and other environmental NGOs.

Background

Prior to joining EDF, John served as the Environmental Management Representative for the County of Summit Department of Sanitary Sewer Services where he both implemented an Environmental Management System and promoted the sustainability efforts of the County of Summit. He served on the Summit of Sustainability Alliance where he collaborated with businesses, non-profits, universities, and local governments to align Summit County with the United Nations SDGs and perform a Voluntary Local Review.

John’s career includes time as a grants administrator, a community and economic development coordinator, campaign manager, and staff to a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

John received both his Masters and Bachelors with honors in Political Science from the University of Akron.
