As the Senior Director of State Advocacy for EDF’s Energy program, Dan leads the organization’s efforts to bolster environmental protections from the impacts of oil and gas development while speeding the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Background

Prior to joining EDF, Dan was an attorney specializing in litigation and served ten years in the Colorado Legislature. Dan served six years in the Colorado House of Representatives, including two years as the House Minority Leader, the youngest person in Colorado history to serve in that capacity. Dan also served four years in the Colorado Senate, where he was the chairman of the Judiciary Committee and the Vice Chairman of the Agriculture, Natural Resources and Energy Committee.
