Description

Robert supports EDF strategy to bring actionable information to industry, governments, communities and other stakeholders to enable rapid methane reductions across the oil and gas sector. He focuses on conditioning access to major oil and gas markets on strict methane emissions performance and advocates for importers and purchasers to adopt standards that reward exporters for reducing methane emissions. Robert works with a variety of stakeholders in the oil and gas industry, governments, NGOs, academia and across EDF to drive continuous improvement in global methane management.

Background

Robert joined EDF following 6+ years at the U.S. Department of State, during which he served in Vietnam and the Bureau of Energy Resources. He was a key advocate and implementer of the Global Methane Pledge, and built a program supporting policy and technical capacity to reduce methane emissions in over 15 high-emitting developing countries.
