Jack helps guide EDF’s legislative and advocacy work.
Background
Jack joined EDF in Spring of 2013 after spending a dozen years working in Congress. Prior to EDF, Jack spent a decade as Chief of Staff for Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY), overseeing a wide variety of efforts including legislation to require labeling on household cleaners.
Jack engaged on a host of environmental issues for Mr. Israel who co-founded the Sustainable Energy & Environment Coalition (SEEC) in the House and who served on the Energy and Water Appropriations panel. As the Chief of Staff to a Member of the House Democratic Leadership, Jack worked directly with House Members on the House Floor and worked closely with other top House, Senate and White House staff. He engaged regularly with House candidates across the country and worked closely with the 50 freshman Democrats elected in 2012.
Education
Jack graduated from Kenyon College and the London School of Economics.
