Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Republican of Minnesota, and Gov. Janet Napolitano, Democrat of Arizona, have joined together in an Environmental Defense radio ad urging Congress to take immediate action on climate change. Their bipartisan effort is part of a growing movement calling for a cap on global warming causing emissions.

These governors and many others have already taken state action to curb global warming pollution. This is smart leadership, but there is no substitute for national action. Congress must act now.
