As Program Coordinator in EDF’s Florida office, Torend plays a critical supporting role in the development and execution of campaigns advancing EDF’s work in Florida by planning and coordinating programs, providing policy analysis, conducting research and building relationships.


Prior to joining EDF, Torend served as an Environmental Coordinator with the Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District. While there Torend organized, planned and developed initiatives used to engage and educate the community on air quality related issues. She also worked to promote fleet electrification adoption across the enterprise.


Torend holds a B.A. in Political Science from Spelman College and a J.D. and M.E.L.P. from Vermont Law School.
