Senior Policy Manager, Ecosystems
Elizabeth Mabry is the senior policy manager for EDF’s Ecosystems program. She works with federal agency representatives and Congress on RESTORE Act implementation as well as other funding streams for Gulf Coast restoration. She also monitors congressional and federal agency activity for issues relevant to coastal states, water resources, agriculture, and other conservation efforts.
Elizabeth returned to EDF in 2015 after a year as senior professional staff on the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. Prior to joining EDF in 2013, Elizabeth held positions as legislative assistant, executive assistant, and campaign press assistant to U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA). She advised the senator on water resources policy and helped shepherd the RESTORE Act to passage on the Senate floor and through the MAP-21 conference committee process. She also handled fisheries, wildlife, and navigation issues for the senator, and during her tenure, focused on the appropriations process.
