Senior Business Analyst

Overall Function


The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for acting as a liaison between the business users and technologists. This individual will need to have a good understanding of both business and technology processes to be able to explain the business needs to the technology teams. Similarly, the candidate would be able to understand and present back technological concepts to the EDF users. The candidate should be able to develop trust quickly by demonstrating sincere interest in the business and to empathetically relate to the business pains expressed.  Should be able to see and understand multivariable cause and effect scenarios within the business and identify key root causes.  Be able to lead brainstorming discussions for business problem resolution and able to communicate complicated business/technical solutions.


Responsibilities will also include maintaining documentation and process flows in line with Business Analysis best practices. The role will also involve the coordination of testing across multiple user groups and development teams to ensure the solution provided matches the business needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to drive the requirements gathering process, determine needs and clearly articulate as simple use cases and acceptance criteria for features & enhancements
  • Participate in design sessions to ensure requirements are addressed in the order of priority. Ensure adherence to the business objectives learned from the requirements sessions.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, accounting or related
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis experience

  • Awareness of Agile software development and deployment processes

  • Ability to grasp new concepts and technologies quickly in a fast-paced environment

  • The urge to be part of a team of highly skilled people, all with strong opinions about various technologies, frameworks, and approaches to delivery

  • Working knowledge of Jira, Slack, Aha!, Pivotal Tracker configurations is a strong plus
