Knowledge Management Intern

Overview
The Knowledge Management Intern, Corporate Governance & Board Relations will primarily assist the Project Manager, Corporate Governance & Board Relations on data entry and research.  The projects listed below will require this position to work with multiple programs at EDF including Legal and Compliance, the Executive Office, Development, and others as needed.  This position requires the ability to operate with confidential information. Tact, discretion, judgment and the ability to function in a confidential capacity are required.
 
The primary purpose of this position is data entry within the Corporate Governance and Board Relations function. This position also includes projects related to building infrastructure for EDF’s internal Social Activities Committee.

Key Responsibilities

Data Entry
Populating the Resolutions & Minutes database
- Upload previous resolutions and board minutes to the database 
- Tag resolutions and minutes with appropriate information for filtering and searchability
Reorganization of the Board Book database
 - Moving previous board book files, spread over multiple files, to one central database and tagging them with appropriate information for searchability 
- Updating board tenure information for annual reports
Create a “Gift Registry” for retiring board members
- Input previous gift details
- Develop a list of 20 -30 new gift ideas

Design
Create an annual board meeting cheat sheet to distribute to staff 
Create critical date cards for the next 3 board meetings
Create 10- 20 board book covers for use in 2019 and 2020

Social Activities Committee (SAC)
Research effective techniques for building community in an office 
Begin work on the SAC Toolkit - a handbook for how to run the Social Activities Committee

Qualifications
College undergraduate (junior or senior)
Trustworthy and able to work independently at times
Strong writing and research skills required
Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines and maintain a pro-active attitude
Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner
Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
Familiarity with the design software, Canva, a plus
Interest in nonprofit and board operations
