Today on Long Island, 565 warehouses generate about 32,000 diesel truck trips every day, and even more mega-warehouses are being proposed.

More than half a million Long Islanders live less than a half mile from a warehouse, and diesel pollution contributes to an estimated 1,700 new childhood asthma cases every year. Without stronger community protections, continued warehouse expansion could mean even more truck traffic and pollution in the neighborhoods where Long Islanders live, work, learn, and play.

Find out if there is a polluting warehouse near your home, work, or school and how these operations impact your health and safety.
