Ronny Sandoval is a Project Engineer in the EDF Clean Energy Program's Idea Bank, an internal think tank, analytics team and strategic planning hub. Ronny works with the various teams within the EDF Clean Energy Program to ensure that EDF has the expertise to provide credible and constructive analysis of both distribution and transmission system infrastructure investments in order to maximize opportunities for clean energy adoption.
Before joining EDF, Ronny was a Senior Specialist in Con Edison’s Energy Efficiency and Demand Management Department. In this capacity, he was responsible for forecasting the impacts of energy efficiency programs for system and capital planning purposes. Ronny also managed efforts to reduce peak electric use in capacity constrained areas of the system.
Prior to this role, Ronny performed engineering analyses and developed plans to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Transmission and Distribution systems at Con Edison. Ronny has also held management positions across Con Edison’s electric, gas, and steam organizations.
Ronny holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from New York University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. Ronny also obtained his Master of Business Administration from New York University and is a Certified Energy Manager.
