As the Energy Media Director for the National Energy Program, Mica employs online/offline communications strategies to engage key stakeholders and promote program goals, develops the creation and implementation of media outreach and response strategies to breaking news and political events and works closely with the EDF marketing and communications team to execute integrated campaigns using multi-media channels.

Background

Prior to joining EDF, Mica worked for Meridian Solar as the company’s Government & Public Division Manager, leading crucial bidding processes and funding procurement efforts to secure new business as well as developing and coordinating governmental relations, marketing, PR and social networking initiatives. Mica has also worked with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI), at a leading advertising agency, GSD&M, and as the Texas House Economic Development Committee Clerk during the 79th and 80th Texas Legislative Sessions. Mica serves on the board of directors of the Texas League of Conservation Voters and as a mentor for Explore Austin.
