Program Associate, US Climate and Energy

As a Program Associate with EDF’s US Climate and Energy Program, Loni Russell coordinates projects focused on EDF’s California Climate efforts – specifically with regards to AB 32, California’s cap-and-trade program for carbon.
Prior to working at EDF, Loni spent time researching European Integration and Public Health at Lund University in Sweden. Previous to that, she was working for the United States Consultant in Germany in their Commercial Service as well as the United Nations Drugs and Crime, Health and Human Development division. Loni has spent time campaigning for the United Nations Environment Programme: Seal the Deal Campaign. She is an active Volunteer Facilitator for The Shanti Project, a non-profit servicing the San Francisco Bay Area’s HIV/AIDS community, and a member of the International Forum of the World Affairs Council.
