Work

Jenn Aiosa joined Environmental Defense Fund in June 2012 after 12 years as a Senior Scientist with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Annapolis, Maryland. As a Senior Conservation Manager, Jenn is responsible for the day-to-day program management in the Chesapeake Bay, advancing fisheries management reform for commercial blue crab and striped bass fisheries.

Jenn works directly with watermen, state and federal managers, and other stakeholders to restore Bay fisheries, protect critical estuarine habitats, and explore alternative management opportunities within the Chesapeake Bay.

Background

Jenn is an estuarine ecologist who has spent her career working on environmental issues on the Chesapeake Bay. Prior to joining EDF, Jenn was a key scientific and policy expert with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, actively working with state legislators and regulators to improve water quality, estuarine habitat and natural resource management.

Jenn started her career as a Knauss Fellow in the Washington, DC Office of former Maryland Congressman Wayne Gilchrest. She has also worked for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the University of Maryland College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
