Isabelle Bodmer Silverman has worked as an attorney in the Living Cities program since 2003. She focuses on clean air, transportation and diesel issues.
Isabelle also speaks at New York City schools and other events about reducing our carbon footprint, climate change as well as our campaigns on transportation transformation, healthier school buses and less engine idling.

A native of Switzerland, Isabelle worked at an environmental consulting firm (Ecosens) in Switzerland right after law school. Thereafter, she received a Master’s Degree in Environmental Law at Pace University, New York.
After working as a litigation associate for McDermott, Will & Emery, an international law firm in New York City, she made the switch to the environmental nonprofit world by working for INFORM in New York City as a corporate partnership liaison. In 2003 Isabelle joined Environmental Defense Fund’s Living Cities program.
