Elena works on the EDF Climate Corps program which taps the talents of tomorrow’s leaders to save energy, money and the environment by placing specially-trained EDF fellows in companies, cities and universities as dedicated energy problem solvers.
Elena leads efforts to actively engage and grow the EDF Climate Corps Network including planning the annual Fall Network Event. She also oversees fellow selection and matching processes, recruits and builds relationships with Climate Corps’ host organizations, and manages summer fellowships. In addition, Elena identifies strategies to utilize the Climate Corps program to aid EDF’s California Climate & Energy goals and other EDF policy initiatives.
Prior to EDF, Elena worked at Net Impact, a nonprofit organization which provides the tools and network for its members to use their careers to drive transformational change in their workplace. Her role was to build relationships with companies, organizations, universities, and government agencies and have them participate in the Net Impact Conference Expo, as well as supporting general conference preparations.
