Work
David’s work on the EDF Climate Corps program encompasses many different areas of the program. David manages relationships with key EDF Climate Corps host organizations as well as the fellow training and EDF’s work with public housing authorities.
As energy efficiency coordinator in the Corporate Partnerships program, David works to identify and remove prohibitive policy and legislative barriers in order to promote energy efficiency investments and financing options for our EDF Climate Corps organizations.
Key projects
• EDF Climate Corps – place specifically-trained graduate students with companies, cities, universities, nonprofits and public housing authorities to identify energy efficiency opportunities
• Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) – EDF is partnering with PHAs around the country to help drive demand for energy efficiency and sustainability projects and investment in the nation’s public housing stock
Background
David first developed an interest in efficiency in general as an undergraduate student majoring in business at North Carolina State University when he saw how important and impactful efficiency can be across every organizational process. During graduate school, David was a two-time EDF Climate Corps fellow, first with North Carolina Central University, the program’s first university host, and then with St. Paul A.M.E Chuch, the program’s first house of worship.
