Work

As the Director, Habitat Markets I will be helping the EDF team establish habitat markets and exchanges in strategic locations across the US, as a means to transform how we mitigate for habitat impacts in the US to achieve better results for habitats and for landowners. We also intend to transform how public and philanthropic money is invested in habitat and ecosystem restoration and conservation.

Background

I have been in the environmental consulting business for over three decades, engaged in the technical and policy arenas of the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and National Environmental Policy Act. I have managed major infrastructure projects, led strategic planning efforts, and created start-ups in renewable energy and environmental markets. I have chaired The Nature Conservancy Board of Oregon, the Portland Zoo Board and the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board.
