Work
Candice Chow-Gamboa joined EDF as a High Meadows Fellow focusing on nitrogen use efficiency on farmlands and its effect on water quality. Her work now includes projects that quantify greenhouse gas benefits of alternative crop management practices to generate credits for carbon markets. These projects focus particularly on rice production, fertilizer management, and wetlands restoration.

B.A., International Affairs and Public Policy, Environmental Studies, Princeton University
Candice's previous work experience includes interning at Princeton’s Office of Sustainability to help promote green living on campus; Finca Project, an agroforestry outreach and education nonprofit in Costa Rica; and Bioversity International, an agricultural biodiversity NGO, in Rome. Her independent work at Princeton focused on U.S. agricultural policy and climate change.
