Ashley Rood

Work

Ashley Rood keeps the trains running for several projects in our Western Working Lands program focused in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. From creating incentives for private meadow restoration to finding new ways of managing forests, her work is dedicated to balancing the needs of the environment, industry, and people in the Sierra.

In her five years at EDF, Ashley has also worked closely with our California water program and our Living Cities program.

Background

Ashley comes to EDF with a background in sustainable agriculture and food system advocacy. Recent publications include co-author of Renewing America's Food Traditions: Saving and Savoring the Continent's Most Endangered Foods.
