Background

Andy served as a Member of Congress from New Jersey (from 1975-81) where he played a leading role on the Health and Environment Subcommittee. After that Andy was President and CEO of EnterpriseWorks Worldwide, a not-for-profit corporation that assists farmers, small-scale entrepreneurs and producer associations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to create enterprises that improve the health and livelihoods of families through increasing productivity, incomes, and competitiveness.

Most recently he served as a senior advisor to the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization’s Every Child Campaign and to Clean Air-Cool Planet where he built a bi-partisan outreach initiative to engage opinion leaders, the public, and decision makers on climate change.

Andy graduated from Oberlin College and received a Ph.D. from Harvard University. He was a consultant to the Ford Foundation and a Fellow at the Kennedy School. He has served on the board of Pharmaceutical Resources, Inc., and on advisory councils at Common Cause and the United Nations Association-USA.
