Jason Mathers
Project Manager

Work
Jason Mathers is a project manager in the Corporate Partnerships program at Environmental Defense Fund. He works with leading companies to identify, develop and implement innovative environmental practices.
Currently, Jason is leading the effort to advance greenhouse gas management best practices in the commercial fleet sector. As part of this work, Jason has:
- Created a fleet greenhouse gas calculator
- Developed a suite of training materials on fuel-smart driving behaviors
- Initiated a survey on the environmental practices of leading fleets
- Worked directly with many large fleets
Background
Prior to joining, EDF was an outreach specialist with the Union of Concerned Scientists, where he organized leading global change scientists on important policy developments.
Jason has a graduate degree in economics from Suffolk University and a B.S. in environmental science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
He is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on board the USS Normandy (CG-60).
