Endangered Species Incentive Programs
The landmark Endangered Species Act protects more than 1,200 rare species in the U.S. Since 1995, innovative programs have been added to encourage private landowners to do "good deeds" for endangered wildlife. In exchange for managing their land in ways that improve or preserve wildlife habit on it, these farmers, ranchers and others can receive cost-share money, technical assistance or freedom from added regulations on their property.
