Work
Erica Fick is an AB 32 and Los Angeles Clean Energy Fellow. She works with the city of Los Angeles, the L.A. Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and local environmental organizations to ensure that Los Angeles meets its local and state environmental goals.
Areas of expertise:
- Implementation of Mayor Villaraigosa's Green LA Climate Action Plan that includes more than 50 initiatives to help reduce L.A.'s carbon footprint.
- State and local renewable energy policies, including California's Global Warming Solutions Act (AB 32) and the Solar LA Plan
- Energy efficiency measures and policies, including smart grid technologies and implementations.
- Local utility issues such as transmission siting, water conservation and renewable portfolio standards (RPS).
- Development of local green jobs initiatives as well as green jobs education through the medium of film.
