How Fellows are Matched with Host Companies

To find the best match between fellows and host companies, Net Impact and EDF consider geographic location, fellow skillsets, and workplan content.

There are two rounds of matching that will take place:

Round 1: Feb 12 - Mar 1, 2010

Net Impact and EDF will accept 25 candidates into the Round 1 matching process. We will identify the best match based on the criteria above and notify each individual fellow of their match. The 25 qualified fellows will do a cultural fit interview with their matched host company.

Please note that applicants cannot apply for a specific host company. Host company assignments are based on applicants’ relevant experience, host company needs and applicant preferences. In many cases, applicants will be asked to accept or reject the internship offer before knowing specific host company placement.

Round 2: Mar 1 - Apr 15, 2010

As additional host companies enter the program, Round 2 applicants will be interviewed by Net Impact and EDF, and given offers on a rolling basis. In Summer 2009, a total of 26 fellows participated in the program. In 2010 we hope to place 50 fellows in host companies.
