Blazer helps lead local efforts to improve air quality through the use of clean energy solutions in the Dallas Fort-Worth metroplex.

She focuses on cleaning up pollution created by diesel vehicles and equipment, gasoline cars and trucks and gas production activities in the Barnett Shale area.

Background

Cherelle’s prior experience includes working for:

  • Evergreen Land Company as the head of environmental projects
  • US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), US Department of Commerce and US Bureau of Land Management on environmental policy and regulatory issues
  • Wilderness Society with a coalition of nonprofits and members of Congress on Capitol Hill
  • Argonne National Laboratory and the National Center of Atmospheric Research conducting research as a visiting scientist.

She currently serves on the board of the North Texas Association of Environmental Professionals and is also a member of the Dallas Black Agenda Coalition.
