As Program Manager for the Latin America and Caribbean Program at EDF, Denise provides support and oversight to a team of staff and consultants working to create transformational change in Cuba, Belize and Mexico.

Raised in Barbados, Denise is passionate about sustainable coastal, marine and tourism management in the Caribbean.

• Master of Environmental Management, Environmental Economics & Policy, Duke University

• Member, NC GreenPower Board of Directors.

Denise has studied beach nourishment issues on the North and South Carolina coastlines. She also contributed to the creation of a bilingual coastal zone management guide for Cuba and worked on sustainable tourism development.

She has worked with the Barbados Marine Trust and stakeholders to raise awareness on marine protection and with Coconut Court Beach Resort to achieve and maintain third party certification for environmental standards.
