PHH Arval - GreenFleet

This multi-tiered partnership is designed to reduce global warming emissions and change the way vehicle fleets are managed.

We are teaming up with PHH Arval's leading fleets to measure greenhouse gas pollution in order to:

• establish baselines,
• reduce emissions through improved vehicle selection and use, and
• offset the remaining emissions.

Goals

• Develop a climate-neutral fleet management service that achieves measurable greenhouse gas emissions reductions and produces business benefits. Steps include:
  
  • Measuring and reporting emissions,
  • Reducing emissions through improved vehicle selection and use
  • Offsetting the remaining emissions, and
  • Communicating the benefits.
• Demonstrate the environmental and business benefits of climate-neutral fleet management
• Improve environmental performance throughout the fleet management industry

Results

Over 60,000 vehicles managed by PHH Arval have utilized PHH GreenFleet's tools. Fleets that have fully implemented the program have reduced emissions on average by 14% and lifecycle operating costs by 4%.

• Nov. 2007: The Co-operators
  The leading Canadian-owned, multi-product insurer seeks to reduce emissions from its 400+ vehicle fleet throughout Canada.
• Feb. 2007: Infinity Property and Casualty Corporation
  A leading nonstandard personal auto insurer becomes the first vehicle fleet to go carbon neutral.
• Jan. 2007: Abbott Labs
  A leading health care company becomes the first to test drive the PHH GreenFleet program to reduce emissions and fuel consumption.
• Jul. 2006: PHH Arval
  By offsetting its own fleet's emissions, PHH Arval becomes the first North American fleet management company to deploy a carbon neutral fleet.
