A member of Environmental Defense’s farm policy campaign team, Sara works to improve federal farm policy.

She focuses on expanding and improving USDA conservation programs that offer incentives to farmers, ranchers and other private landowners to address environmental issues associated with agricultural production.

Sara works with an array of stakeholders, including:

  • Congressional offices on issues related to the 2007 Farm Bill,
  • agency personnel on conservation program implementation, and
  • producers and producer groups,

to drive effective, on-the-ground conservation efforts through USDA conservation programs.
