Work

Britt Lundgren is an Agricultural Policy Specialist with Environmental Defense Fund’s Land, Water, & Wildlife Program. She focuses on expanding and improving USDA conservation programs that offer incentives to farmers, ranchers and other private landowners to address environmental issues associated with agricultural production.

Britt also works on issues related to the sustainable production of bioenergy feedstocks.

Background

Prior to coming to EDF in 2006, Britt worked as a policy consultant for American Farmland Trust in their New England field office, where she led a team of graduate students at Tufts University in conducting a study of the Conservation Security Program.

Previous employers also include the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project, where she was a Farmland Identification Coordinator, and the Charles River Conservancy, where she was the Stewardship Program Manager.

Britt has also worked on farms in Maine, Massachusetts, and Colorado.
