State and Local Hybrid Incentive Programs
State and local programs may take the form of tax credits, such as in Oregon, Louisiana, and Rhode Island, or grants, as in New York, Indiana, and North Carolina. These programs typically post a request for proposal (RFP) on their websites inviting fleets to apply. The requirements of each program vary depending on the scope of the program and its emissions reduction goals.
Please note that while some programs refer to "alternative fuel vehicles," all of the programs included in this guide have confirmed that hybrid vehicles are eligible to apply.
