Video: Hurricane Sandy breaks the silence on climate change

It has been three weeks since the "900-mile-wide behemoth" known as Hurricane Sandy ravaged the Atlantic seaboard. Given the nature of the storm—the largest to ever form in the Atlantic Basin—discussion is turning to thoughts of similarly monstrous storms and extreme weather events, in the wake of a changing climate.

Or, as Brenda Ekwurzel, Assistant Director of Climate Research and Analysis at the Union of Concerned Scientists, aptly put it: "To ignore the factors of climate change, we do that at our peril."

See her interview and others in a new video we've put together showing news clips discussing the connections between extreme weather and climate change in the aftermath of Sandy.
