I was shocked when I learned the truth. As of right now, there are no national limits on carbon pollution from power plants, despite their being the single largest source of carbon pollution in the United States. With your help, 2014 could see that change.
The current price the U.S. government places on carbon dioxide emitted today is too low because it ignores things we know are linked to a changing climate that aren’t so easily quantifiable.
This month, many Californians will receive the state’s first ever dividend or "climate credit" from a cap and trade program.
